About

Who I am

Hello.

Whether it be theatre, film, or musicals, Larissa’s acting career stands on a foundation of insight, excellence, and experience.

To each role she brings a unique awareness of the motivations that result in her character’s actions. Built on her years as a mindfulness meditation practitioner, teacher, and hospice chaplain, she knows the complexity of the human heart and brings that knowledge to her acting approach. She has seen people at their most vulnerable and brings a respect for that terror and beauty in her portrayal of the human condition, the joys, fears, laughter, and tears.

She relentlessly pursues excellence.  Formerly a pharmacy professional with a Doctorate in the field, Larissa knows that attention to detail marks the difference between disaster and professional excellence. Entrusted with the health of thousands over the years, she possesses an ingrained sense of detail. She brings this attention to her work as an actor, but not to detract from the appearance of spontaneity. In fact, it is because she has the details nailed that she appears genuinely natural on the stage and screen.

With regard to experience, Larissa possesses a profound and compelling experiential background. The child of survivors of World War Two’s horrors, she grew up in a tough, multi-ethnic neighborhood in Philadelphia. Her immigrant parents saw her talent and encouraged her participation in plays and choral performances. These outlets not only resulted in opportunities to interact with gifted teaching artists, but also provided Larissa with an avenue for expression outside the strict confines of her Catholic girls High School.

With college came the need to enter a lucrative profession and her natural intellect led her into the sciences. Now that the doors to the pharmacy are behind her, the deep planted yearning for expression through acting grows again. Her budding resume tells the story, starting with Improv Classes in 2021, then two years at the Everyman Theatre in Baltimore. There she performed leading roles in “The Green Room” and “The Executive Committee” by Brandon McCoy.  With her resume now filling quickly, she found a new niche and is available to support your project’s needs with depth and honesty.

Larissa looks forward to learning about this project and supporting your success.
